Many Outdoor Adventures to Choose From
The Chisago Lakes Water Trail offers 13 miles of paddling on 10 lakes. The St. Croix River is a mecca for canoeing and kayaking. The Swedish Immigrant Trail offers 20 miles of hard surface for biking and walking. And the state park systems, Wild River State Park and Minnesota Interstate State Park, offer over 40 miles of trails to enjoy, along with camping and cabins for an overnight stay.

Beach Park
This is a 3-acre park located on South Lindstrom Lake, at the West end of Newell Avenue (South and West of the Karl & Kristina statute). It features a sand swimming beach, a daytime only boat dock, a fishing pier, pavilion, picnic tables, grills, sand volleyball, play structure with handicap transfer stations and swings. The Park provides wintertime access for ice fishing. Paved paths and parking are handicap accessible.

Snowmobile Trails
The Wild River Snowmobile Club is over 40 years old and maintains 120 miles of trail, crossing the private property of more than 300 landowners. The organization is made up of volunteers who donate time clearing, marking and maintaining the trails before the season starts and then our groomer operators actively donate large chunks of time (12+ hours per run) to groom the trails throughout the season.

Swedish Immigrant Regional Trail
Enjoy 11 miles of this beautiful, multi-use trail. The west segment starts near the Chisago Lakes Area Library in Chisago City and continues eastward to Center City. The east segment starts in Shafer at Redwing & 303rd and ends in Taylors Falls.
