Beauty in the Little Things: A Nature/Art Practice at Interstate State Park
This class is for anyone looking to try something new, increase their mindfulness, relax and connect to the outdoors. You’ll use watercolor pencils on paper to discover the beauty in some of the park’s smaller details. Think lichens, mosses, spring wildflowers, or whatever inspires you.
The aim of this class is not to produce frameable art, but to become absorbed in the smaller details of nature while quieting the mind and sparking your creativity. The process is more important than the product. More time will be spent experimenting with materials than on instruction. All materials will be provided for the day. Space is limited to twelve, please email the naturalist to reserve a spot in this free class.
This class will take place entirely outdoors at Interstate State Park located at 307 Milltown Rd, Taylors Falls, MN 55084. Park at the campground entrance of the park.
