Star of Life

Lakes Region EMS – a non-profit Advanced Life Support ambulance service that is community-based.  They service Chisago County and parts of Isanti and Pine Counties in Minnesota, and part of Polk County in Wisconsin.  Their primary service area encompasses more than 650 square miles.

About the Artist

Gerald Carlson

Jerry owns a home in Lindstrom and is an Emergency Medical Technician for the Chisago County ambulance service. He has no artistic education, aside for a drawing class he took in college. The foundation is delighted that Jerry decided to participate in this project; it was fitting to place the Emergency Medical Services symbol at the Ambulance garage adjacent to the new Fairview Lakes Clinic.
