About the Artist:
Kathy Flynn
The families of Kathy’s maternal grandparents emigrated from Sweden in the mid-1800’s, becoming some of the early immigrants to the area. Two family homestead farms remain, with beautiful barns that retain so much history! She lives on one of the family farms, where her grandmother passed on the art of quilting. All of this Swedish history, and her love for quilting, inspired her to create her first “barn quilt”.
