The Landscaper’s Daughter – Born in Minnesota and raised by history-loving landscape designers, I grew up with an eye for design, aesthetics, history and travel. After obtaining degrees in architecture and historic building conservation, I traveled the world before settling down in a beautiful historic home in Taylors Falls with my husband, daughter and two cats. The Landscaper’s Daughter started as a blog during the Covid-19 pandemic and grew into a business! Today, I provide graphic, interpretive, and website design services; historic preservation consulting, and create curated travel itineraries. I’m also a Real Estate Agent. My passion for architecture and this beautiful region led me to get my real estate licenses in both Minnesota and Wisconsin. I love exploring and promoting the towns, people, and businesses that make this region special. Follow along as I explore the physical, cultural and culinary landscapes of the St. Croix River Valley and beyond.

About the Artist

Rhonda Hansch

The design for this piece was inspired by Alyssa’s love of geometric patterns, the scenery of the St.Croix River, and loons (all birds, really!). To create the piece Alyssa hired a local artist named Rhonda Hansch, after seeing her wood-cut designs at River Alley Shoppes in Taylors Falls. Rhonda, aka Crafty Mama Clucker, creates home decor, barn quilts, and customized ornaments. Visit her website for more information: craftymamaclucker.com
