Shafer Days is an annual celebration held the third weekend in September. Activities include: a parade, firefighter’s dance, car show, coronation, treasure hunt, bingo, music, tractor show, food, vendors and lawn mower tractor pulls. The parade is on Saturday the 17th beginning at 4 pm and begins at Shafer Meadows (the housing development north of County Rd 37, west of County Rd 21).
